Oops! We Improved It Again–our first release of the year!

Our first update of 2025 (with many more to come!) is here, packed with quality-of-life improvements you’ve been asking for! We’re happy to share it with you, and we hope this makes your Codecks experience the best it’s ever been.

Also… If you have a keen eye, you might’ve also noticed something new—we’re sporting a brand-new logo! Surprise! We hope you like it.

So, what’s new with this release? Let’s have a look:

Improvements & Fixes

  • Smart Deck Suggestions: When creating sub-cards, we’ve added a third quick button that suggests decks based on other sub-cards assigned to the same person.

  • Table View: The status color now remains visible even when a card is selected, improving visibility.
  • Tags Sorting: Tags shown on cards and in the table view are now always displayed in alphabetical order, making them easier to find. Previously they were sorted in order of application.
  • Calendar Customization: You can now set the start of the week at the organization level, with the option to override it in your personal profile settings.
  • Copy Button for Code Blocks: Have you ever accidentally gone into editing mode when trying to copy something from a code block? Not anymore, with our new copy button!

  • Deck Picker: Now displays decks in the same order as the Decks View for a more consistent experience.
  • Runs: We added an “Auto-assign new cards to pinned Run” option for smoother task organization. You can find it on the Timeline section, when you Pin the current run.

  • Unsnoozing Cards: Unsnoozed cards now retain their “started” state instead of resetting.
  • Beast Mode: Cards automatically moved at the end of a Run are now immediately locked in. The grace period only applies to manually moved cards.
  • CSV Importer Fix: Resolved an issue where some cards had state-only workflows during import.
  • Shortcuts: We switched our shortcuts up and now finger yoga is no longer needed! New cards are now created with `C` instead of `N`, and you can now also use `Shift+C` to create a sub card. The old conversation shortcut has moved from `C` to `N`.

Time Tracking

  • Admins and producers can now enter time tracking information for other users.
  • Fixed an issue where the sum of tracked time for a Run was miscalculated.

Billing

  • You can now set a dedicated invoice email that doesn’t need to be tied to a Codecks user.
  • The old billing contact role has been removed — all billing-related communication now goes to the account owner.
  • We fixed VAT rate calculation issues with decimal numbers (Thanks, Finland!).
