Emmanuel is an old man, but don’t remind him of that. He spent too many years as a project manager, for video games, web applications, and even hard-core industrial projects. The scars run deep. Most of his evenings and week-ends are devoted to video games, board games, and miniature painting. That’s what happens when you get old.

Inching towards closed beta

Hello folks,

These last two months have been pretty busy at Codecks HQ.

We now have a handful of friends and indie game developers that are using the development version of Codecks, warts and all. They haven’t run away screaming or jumped off a cliff (yet) so that gives us some hope that we’ve done a few things right.

Codecks now boasts a simple and effective milestone calendar, and we have done a lot of iteration on some core features like commenting and notifications.

The next two big features that are in development are project metrics and bulk handling of cards. All exciting stuff.

All of this means that our plans for a closed beta are going ahead, and we even have a date: July 1st.

So in less than two months you will be receiving an invitation to create an account and take codecks for a test run. We hope you’ll like what you see.

We’ll send you another update in the last couple of weeks running up to that, with all the juicy details.

In the meantime, why not take a gander at our latest series of screencasts which demonstrate the ins and outs of cards: http://screencast-o-matic.com/u/fwFs/codecks

We hope you’re enjoying spring… this is the time of year when Berlin becomes a different city, and we’re thankful for the respite from winter.

Be excellent to each other,

Your Codecks wildlings.
