Oh, uh, hello there. Sorry for bumping into you, my eyes had to adjust.
Yes, yes, we know… It’s been a while.
Truth is, we’ve been really busy trying to get our core loop in sufficiently good shape that we would feel confident putting it in the hands of a few early adopters. And we’re really pleased, and thankful, that as of yesterday Codecks has taken its first baby step and met the first members of its extended family.
As you can see from these screenshots, our handsome designer Micha has done a fantastic job with the UI.
Mechanics around card / deck creation and manipulation are in good shape. Card workflow and notifications are also in place, and we feel pretty good about all the subtle innovations we made to the basic formula offered by most project management tools.
So what happens now?
Well, while the core loop will need more iterations based on the feedback we receive, we’re now in much better shape when it comes to implementing the key missing features before public release.
This week we’re getting started on milestones, which will be followed by project metrics. Exciting stuff, really!
This also means that as the summer draws near we’ll be inviting those of you that have signed up to our email list for further tests and a closed beta.
If all goes well, and assuming we didn’t go too wrong with our core loop, we could see a public release this fall. Wouldn’t that be nice? (please say yes).
Alright, back into the cave. We’ll come out more regularly for some fresh air now that we got over this major hump.
Hang in there.
